About Me
I’m an ontological coach with a creativity-based, trauma informed approach to change. My work is shaped by two deeply connected journeys: years of professional coaching practice and my own recovery experience which began in 2018.
Through recovery, I developed a grounded understanding of trauma- not as something broken, but as a healthy nervous system response to experiences that were once too much. I have training in individual, collective and ancestral trauma and I am qualified to hold space for clients exploring change with care and integrity. When appropriate I make referrals to licensed mental health professionals.
I began my coaching journey 25 years ago as a career coach. When I discovered ontological coaching, it put me on a learning path that continues until today. I got certified by the International Coaching Federation in 2004 and now hold a Professional Coaching certificate (PCC) and have thousands of hours of individual and group coaching experience.
I was an Organizational Development and Coaching consultant at the USDA from 2010 until 2020. Here I had the opportunity to build a coaching program for all leaders at the agency – an incredible opportunity to put together and see the impact it had on the well-being of the leaders and the people who worked for them.
Since 2020, I have been teaching coaching classes with the Advanced Coaching Practicum and working with individual clients.
My Approach
Ontological
Ontological coaching provides a framework looking at your life, your challenges, and your dreams through the lens of your language, your body and your emotions. As human beings, we often stand in our own light, unknowingly blocking new insights and possibilities. Through coaching, you increase your awareness of how this may be happening in your own life. You develop practices that help you recognize your habitual perspectives—and, importantly, how to shift them intentionally. When the same situation is viewed from a new perspective, it becomes a new situation altogether.
Creativity
Creating art has opened up my view of the world – which coincidentally is one of the purposes of ontological learning.
Experiencing the power of creativity to support change brought home the idea of using a client’s to help them on their change journey.
Artfully living is a way of living with all of our parts – using our perspective and creativity to see, imagine and build a life that fits you
Recovery
My coaching and recovery paths now overlap. I see that what I learned and experienced as a coach serves me in my recovery journey.
While I have not trained in the capacity of recovery coaching, I feel I could competently coach someone on their recovery path, if they commit to get and stay sober as part of their coaching goals.
Ritual
This is a free space I have opened to allow people to express grief and sadness. It is also a space to reflect on our current situations as well as consider what future we might want to live in – both individually and collectively. This offer is a direct result of training in trauma healing and learning.
I use music, poetry and meditation to create a safe space for people to bring their grief. While there is no coaching in these events, people express gratitude for being able to speak and be witnessed.
Upcoming dates are: Sat. April 4, 2026; Sat. June 27, 2026; Sat. Oct. 3; and, Sat. Jan. 3, 2027. All sessions will meet from 3-5 pm EST/12-2 pm PST
Ontological Coaching
Ontological coaching provides a framework for exploring your life, your challenges, and your dreams through three interconnected domains: your language, your body, and your emotions. For sustainable change to occur, shifts are needed in all three.
Human beings are innately creative. I encourage my clients to access their creativity to discover and design what comes next in their lives. This is why I call my business Artfully Living. You don’t need to be an artist to create a life you love—but your creativity is a primary tool in shaping it.

If you are interested in attending, please send a message through my contact page.
I will contract with clients before beginning the engagement to determine what they want to work on and what that would look like for them. At every session, I will inquire if their goals have shifted as they have learned more, adjusting our plan according to the goals of the client. Every session begins and ends with an account of progress, what’s working and what’s not, and making adjustments are made accordingly.
I find clients often change their goals as they go through the process. Often they don’t know what they don’t know until they have an opportunity to explore. They can expect that we can adapt the goals to fit their needs and we would adapt our working agreement accordingly.
What You Can Expect…
I am not a Therapist…
I clearly explain to my clients that I am not a therapist, but I have training in individual, collective and ancestral trauma. I am qualified to hold space for a client experiencing or relating trauma. If necessary, I can make an appropriate referral to a mental health professional. I continue to pursue trauma-informed training that is emerging as a space for healing and growth.
